NOAA Forecast 2.1

The NOAA Forecast app serves as a valuable tool for accessing weather maps generated by NOAA's Global Forecast System (GFS).

The application features a grid that is both scrollable and zoomable, enhancing user experience in exploring forecasts. The vertical axis represents forecast time, displaying four distinct forecasts at 12-hour intervals. Meanwhile, the horizontal axis categorizes different types of forecasts, allowing users to choose from five map variations out of a total of 21 available types.

Coverage extends to thirteen distinct global regions, providing comprehensive options for users. It is important to note that the maps offered are the raw outputs of the GFS computer model. While these maps present foundational data, they are subsequently processed and interpreted by various weather services to produce the familiar visual representations seen in print media and broadcast television.
